Building surveying consultancy Malcolm Hollis is to open its first European office in Madrid at the start of September.
The opening will be in addition to the 15 offices it already operates across the UK and Ireland.
The Madrid office is the first of a number of new offices the firm has planned in the UK and Europe over the coming months.
The Madrid team will be led by new hire John Watson, who joins as a partner. Watkins has lived in Spain for 23 years and worked with clients including Standard Life and DekaBank. In 2010 he launched his own consultancy business.
Senior partner John Woodman said: “The commercial property market across Europe is buoyant, with many investors looking to expand their portfolios and property companies taking advantage of development opportunities.
