When it opens, on 12 November, the Mall of Scandinavia will be the largest retail and leisure scheme across Norway, Denmark and Sweden.
At 101,000 m2 (1,090,000 sq ft) over seven floors, and costing €640m (£470m), the development by Unibail-Rodamco is the largest in the developer’s portfolio of 72 shopping centres.
It is just seven minutes from downtown Stockholm and has attracted some of the region’s biggest and best‑known retailers, including several firsts for the country.
It has Sweden’s first
Disney Store, a flagship Superdry store and the first Michael Kors in a Swedish shopping centre. H&M has taken a 4,000 m2 store, increasing its requirement from 1,000 m2. On the
leisure side, the mall continues to attract new market entrants: it will have Sweden’s first IMAX cinema.
There will also be 22 restaurants – some run by Michelin-starred chefs.
