SEGRO has sold a group of assets which form part of its Trafford Park portfolio to Manchester United Football Club for £8.2m.
The assets, close to Old Trafford football ground, comprise Trafford Gateway, a one-acre parcel of land directly opposite the stadium; 3 Wharfside, a 177,000 sq ft shed let to AKW Group; and Canalside, a multi-let estate comprising seven sheds totalling 58,700 sq ft.
David Bridges, SEGRO’s national markets business director, said: “The sale has been beneficial to both parties – for SEGRO the disposal of these relatively small individual units allows us to concentrate on retained assets at Trafford Park, while giving Manchester United greater access to more property and land around its stadium.”
