Management takeover at Camelot

A management team has bought Camelot theme park near Chorley in Lancashire for £14m.

Newly formed Prime Resorts, with £7m equity backing from Close Investment Management, is acquiring the theme park together with the adjoining 140-room Park Hall Hotel from Granada Entertainments, part of the Granada media empire.

Nick Hall, the former deputy managing director of Granada Entertainments, is leading the deal. He said £2m would be invested over 12 months in the 56.6ha (140 acre) site.
