Manchester Airport Developments (MADL) has completed an agreement with hotel operator Golden Tulip UK to open a 135-bedroom Tulip Inn hotel at Manchester Airport.
The operator has taken a 25-year lease on a three-star hotel, which will be situated at Junction 6 of the M56.
It will have a 140 cover restaurant, meeting rooms and on-site parking for 108 cars.
MADL will be tendering for a construction partner with development programmed to commence on site later this year.
The hotel is due to be open in summer 2007.
The architect for the scheme is Leach Rhodes Walker.
Golden Tulip UK is part of the 500-strong international hotel group, which currently operates hotels in Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle Gateshead, Portsmouth, Leeds/Castleford and Dublin Airport.
Manchester Airport Developments is the property and development arm of Manchester Airport Group, the second largest airport group in the UK.
