Manchester approves £70m city centre BTR scheme

Zephyr X will deliver a 23-storey residential scheme at the corner of Carnarvon Street and Cheetham Hill Road. It will include 237 one and two-bedroom apartments and a ground floor commercial unit. 

Manchester City Council unanimously approved the plans in a planning meeting today.

Zephyr X Developments managing director Graham Haydon-White said: “Our development offers an exciting opportunity to support the ongoing regeneration of this increasingly vibrant corner of Manchester, helping to meet the established demand for high-quality accommodation in the city centre.

“We are very grateful to Manchester City Council for supporting our vision to deliver this fantastic new build-to-rent residential development at Cheetham Hill Road.”

Haydon-White added that the company is now looking to appoint contractors with the intention of starting on site next year.
