Construction in Manchester has rocketed in response to a 70% rise in take-up.
Deloitte’s Crane Survey found that 320,000 sq ft of office space was delivered last year across four buildings, with 325,000 sq ft in the pipeline.
Take-up in the first half of 2014 topped 800,000 sq ft across 170 deals, and Q2 saw the best performance since 2007, with more than 487,000 sq ft taken.Space is now down to 283,000 sq ft from a peak of 600,000 sq ft in 2009.
