A new year and a new venue for our Manchester Focus reception: The Milton Club on Deansgate. Apparently it is a favourite haunt of the younger members of Manchester’s property scene but it also seemed to go down well with those for whom Friday night no longer means trendy beats and drinking fancy bottled beers until the wee small hours.
There was another bumper turnout for the event, with the queue to get in snaking through The Milton Club lobby. Tom Bloxham was sporting what looked like a new hat but managed to hide from our photographer and the Colliers team sought safety in numbers in what was dubbed Colliers Corner.
EG’s Lisa Pilkington was seen whisking people off into one of the booths to record their thoughts on the Northern Powerhouse.
