Manchester’s Adagio Access hotel to be approved

Jadebricks’ plans for a 117-bedroom aparthotel in the Northern Quarter, are set to be approved by the Manchester City Council in a planning meeting next week.

The nine-storey aparthotel will be run by Amsterdam-based operator Cycas Hospitality and will be the first hotel of the Accor hotel group’s Adagio Access brand in the city.

Jadebricks’ proposal includes partially demolishing an existing warehouse building at 68-70 Oldham Street, as well as an adjacent warehouse. .

The SimpsonHaugh-designed scheme plans to retain the facade of the warehouse.

The plans include ground-floor guest lounge with a kitchen facility, luggage storage, a gym, staff changing facilities, a break room and offices. It will also offer two independent commercial spaces at ground level and 15 cycle spaces.
