Travel management company Key Travel has taken the final full vacant floor at Bruntwood’s St James’ building in Manchester.
It will take the entire 19,178 sq ft 9th floor of the Grade II listed building on Oxford Road, moving from its existing office at Bruntwood’s Lowry House on 17 Marble Street. Quoting rents were £20 per sq ft.
The company recently announced a merger with Raptim Humanitarian Travel, creating the world’s largest travel management company focused entirely on academic, humanitarian and faith sectors.
Bruntwood bought St James’ in 2003 for £27m and has since refurbished the building, which dates back to 1912. At more than 19,000 sq ft, it has some of the largest floorplates of any office in the city.
Adam Selka, senior asset manager at Bruntwood Works, said: “It’s wonderful to be welcoming Key Travel to this outstanding suite – particularly in this exciting point in the business’s journey.
“Following our work to regenerate the suite, we harnessed technology in the form of an AR experience to animate the space and show its potential to viewers, but there’s nothing quite like seeing a company move into a new suite and bring it to life by putting their own stamp on the space.”
John O Sullivan, managing director at Key Travel in the UK, added: “Although we continue to grow our company globally, our Manchester office has always been and will continue to be the heart of our operations.”
With the ninth floor of St James’ let, there is only about 4,000 sq ft available in the building – across the first and sixth floors – though a further 3,000 sq ft will become available this month.
