Labour’s proposed mansion tax could suck 4% of the value out of homes worth over £2m according to a report by Savills.
According to the report the tax would also mean a 10% drop for homes worth £10m-plus, 8% for those over £5m and 6% for those over £3m.
Under the proposals for the tax owners of a £2m home would be charged £250 per month, rising higher for more expensive properties.
Saville added that homes under the £2m threshold would also feel the effect, with homes between £1m and £2m losing 2% of their value.
