Marcelo Claure, who is credited with turning around the fortunes of WeWork, has quit SoftBank.
The Bolivian billionaire, who has been spearheading the Japanese conglomerate’s $5bn Latin America investment fund, is apparently leaving after a major falling out with SoftBank founder Masayoshi Son.
His departure, sparked by a dispute over his pay and the group’s strategic direction, is expected to be announced next week.
