Market remains cautious at Strettons’ July sale

Strettons raised more than £8m at its July auction, selling 62% of the 67 lots it was offering.

The highest price in the room was £835,000 for a property in Barking, showing an initial 6.8% gross yield.

Philip Waterfield, Strettons’ auctions director, said: “Although the saleroom was busy, it is clear that within a continued atmosphere of political uncertainty the market appears to remain cautious, with realistic pricing encouraging the most interest.”

Strettons’ next sale takes place on 11 September at the Grand Connaught Rooms, Great Queen Street, WC2.
