British Land and Hammerson were two of the top risers among London’s largest listed companies today.
British Land’s shares finished the session at 527.2p, their second-best closing price in more than a year. The stock’s rise of almost 3.4% made the REIT one of the FTSE 100’s biggest risers.
In the FTSE 250, Hammerson made the top table, up by 4.8% at 39.78p.
Globalworth Real Estate Investments was flat as it said a €1.6bn (£1.4bn) takeover bid from two of its existing investors undervalues the business. At €7.35, its stock price is just above the offer of €7 a share.
