Falls for British Land and Hammerson were among the steepest drops in the FTSE 350 today.
British Land ended the day at 504.8p per share, its 3.3% decline making it the sharpest fall in the FTSE 100.
A similar drop from Hammerson left the shopping centre owner as one of the leading fallers in the FTSE 250. The company’s stock closed at 34.99p a share.
The day’s biggest real estate gain was posted by BMO Real Estate Investments, which was up by 4.2% at 74.6p.
The FTSE 100 closed at 6,713, down by 0.86%. The FTSE 250 was at 21,518, down about 0.3%.
