British Land posted one of the biggest share price rises in the FTSE 100 during Friday trading.
The REIT’s shares ended the session at 503.4p, a gain of 2.3% over the day and putting the company in fifth place on the London Stock Exchange’s table of the top risers.
Joining BL as one of the index’s biggest risers was Landsec, up by almost 2% at 711.6p. The company said today that its rent collection for the September quarter had improved on the past quarter.
In the FTSE 250, the best real estate performance came from IWG, shares in which were up by 3.5% at 300.2p.
The FTSE 100 ended the day at 7,234, up 0.4%, with the FTSE 250 up 0.5% at 22,984.
