Countrywide topped the list of risers within the listed property sector today, its shares rising by 8.13% to 113p.
It was joined by Hammerson and Helical, which saw share price hikes of 6.45% to 85.44p and 6.15% to 328p, respectively.
And despite the FTSE 100 nudging down by 0.19% to 6,157 points, IHG, Landsec and SEGRO climbed into the FTSE 100 list of risers. The FTSE 250 increased by 0.41% to 17,189 points.
Landsec recorded a 1.45% uptick to 561p, while SEGRO’s share price increased by 1.85% to 911.6p. IHG, which is beginning a phased reopening of its London hotels from 4 July, saw a 2.13% rise to 3,643p.
Taylor Wimpey was one of the FTSE 100’s biggest fallers, dropping by 2.88% to 138.5p.
Property’s other biggest fallers included Inland Homes, which saw its share price fall by 4% to 48p, and Henry Boot which fell by 3.95% to 243p.
