Having hit a near-10-month high yesterday (10 December), Frasers Group lost the day’s gains in trading on Friday, slumping by 13% in the worst performance in the FTSE 350.
On Thursday the group posted interim results centred on a 29% profit rise to £84.4m. Its shares rose by 13% to reach 495.8p, their highest price since February.
Today, however, the stock dropped by 13% to finish the day at 431.2p.
Joining Frasers in the day’s sharpest fallers were BMO Commercial Property Trust, down by 6%, and Vistry Group, down by 5.4%.
The biggest real estate rise was from Ediston Property Investment Company, which gained 6.6% to close at a nine-month high of 71p.
The FTSE 100 closed at 6,456, down by 0.8%. The FTSE 250, at 19,622, was down by 0.7%.
