Hammerson was among the biggest risers on the FTSE index today, after its shares closed up 9.8% to 64.74p.
Other REITs enjoying a boost include fellow landlord intu, after its shares climbed 7.2% to 4.45p.
The most notable REIT to drop was Town Centre Securities, which ended the session down 11% at 104.5p.
The FTSE 250 finished the day at 16,320 points, up 0.56%. However, the FTSE 100 ended the session down 0.8%, at 6,002 points.
