Hammerson led the FTSE 250 index’s falling stocks today – and was one of the worst-performing real estate stocks during the session.
Nonetheless, recent gains meant that even a 5% fall still left the stock in a better position than at almost any point during the second half of last year, at 37.6p.
GPE (that’s still Great Portland Estates if you’re a shareholder) was largely flat – down by just 1p – after publishing bullish leasing figures that should give it a record year.
And housebuilder Taylor Wimpey edged up by just 0.75p, or 0.5%, on news of its next chief executive. Jennie Daly, its group operations director, will take the helm in April.
