Despite the government announcing an extension of its ban on evictions of commercial tenants not paying rent, British Land and Landsec pushed their way into the FTSE 100’s top risers of the day.
BL’s shares finished the day up 1.99% at 358.5p per share, while Landsec’s rose by 2.73% to 557p to make it the top riser. The FTSE 100 itself slipped by 0.44% to 6,078 points, but the FTSE 250 nudged up by 0.05% to 17,824 points.
Outside the FTSE 100, Harworth Group’s share price increased by 4.91% to 94p and Custodian REIT was up by 4.05% to 90p.
However, other firms such as Regional REIT fared less well. It ended the day down 6.94% at 67p.
Capital & Regional and Urban & Civic also saw share price drops, of 6.1% to 55.4p and 4.89% to 214p respectively.
