Landsec was among the top performers in the FTSE 100 today, while several housebuilders also posted notable gains.
The REIT’s shares closed the session at 549.8p, up 3.31%.
Landsec yesterday unveiled plans for what it hopes will be the UK’s first net zero carbon commercial building.
Housebuilders across the board also enjoyed a boost, amid reports the government is preparing to extend the Help to Buy scheme beyond the December deadline.
The FTSE 100’s biggest risers included Berkeley Group, up nearly 5% to 4,694p, and Barratt Developments, up 4.68% to 541p.
Persimmon posted a 3.01% share price increase, to 2,536p.
The FTSE 100 finished the day up 0.4%, to 6,129.26. The FTSE 250 rose 0.7% to 17,278.23.
