Residential listing platform OnTheMarket was one of the biggest winners in an otherwise downbeat market today, with its shares surging by 9.2% following positive year-end results.
It reported the number of agents listing exclusively on the portal had shot up by 42% to 1,619. Its share price rose to end the day at 95p.
Estate agent Countrywide was less fortunate, dropping by 7.02% to 151p after a week on an upwards incline.
In the FTSE 250, Shaftesbury ticked up 3.5% to 514p and PPHE Hotel Group rose by 3.29% to 1,100p.
Housebuilders saw some of the largest drops in a generally downbeat market.
Crest Nicholson fell by 4.07% to 511.79p, Watkin Jones was down 3.75% to 368.24p and Bellway was down 2.6%.
The FTSE 100 ended down 2.31% at 5,989.99 and the FTSE 250 fell by 1.34% to 17.017.05.
