Shares in Primary Health Properties rose today after it announced it had boosted its earnings over the past six months by 13% to £40.7m.
The healthcare specialist saw net rental income increase by 4.5% to £136.1m a year, 90% of which comes from government sources.
FTSE 250-listed PHP’s stock rose by 1.7% to 163p at the end of trading.
Other risers today included Capital & Counties, whose shares were up by 2.3% to 172p following yesterday’s positive earnings news, and Hammerson, whose shares rose by 1.6% to 38.1p.
Of the blue-chip property stocks, British Land was up by 1% to 512p, Landsec rose by 0.4% to 701p and SEGRO rose by 0.9% to 1,205p.
The FTSE 100 ended the day up 0.3% at 7,016 points, while the FTSE 250 rose by 0.6% to 23,006 points.
