Shares in listed investor Regional REIT rose by 1.1% today after it acquired a £236m office portfolio from Squarestone Growth.
Regional REIT’s stock closed up at 89.2p. Under the deal, 31 multi-let assets will be bought using £83.1m in shares, £76.7m of cash and additional borrowings of £76.2m.
Elsewhere on the stock exchange, Home REIT’s stock inched up by 0.4% to end the day at 114.5p. The investor, which buys and develops accommodation for homeless people, has outlined plans to raise £262m from a share placing.
In a trading update today, the REIT also said it has fully invested the equity raised from its £240m IPO in October last year as well as more than 70% of its debt facility.
The FTSE 100 closed down 0.4% at 7,119 points. The FTSE 250 posted a 0.2% increase to 24,102.
