All three FTSE 100 REITs featured in the index’s list of heaviest fallers during Wednesday’s trading, despite a positive session for the market overall.
A 1.7% drop made Landsec’s stock the second-sharpest faller in the index, although at 718.6p a share it remains close to its post-Covid-19 highs.
Also in the London Stock Exchange’s ranking of FTSE 100 fallers was SEGRO, down 0.9% at 999.8p, and British Land, edging down 0.6% at 520.8. Like Landsec, both stocks have held onto much of their recovered ground since markets slumped during the onset of the pandemic a year ago.
The day’s most sizeable rise from the real estate industry was a 3.7% lift for Taylor Wimpey, making the housebuilder one of the best FTSE 100 performers.
The FTSE 100 closed at 7,039, up 1.7%. The FTSE 250 was up 0.25% at 22,385.
