Market wrap: Shaftesbury rebounds after difficult results

Shaftesbury’s share price recovered from the impact of its latest half year results, in which it reported a loss of £699.5m due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

Its shares rose by 4.86% to 560.5p, while neighbour and Shaftesbury investor Capco also saw its shares rise by 5.1% to 150.4p.

Barratt and Segro found themselves in the FTSE 100’s top risers, with share price increases of 4.64% to 650p and 3.52% to 940p respectively.

However, Hammerson’s shares fell by 3.22% to 25.52p per share.

The FTSE 100 was up by 0.88% to 6,570 points, and the FTSE 250 increased marginally by 1.23% to 20,096 points.
