Premier Inn owner Whitbread saw the steepest climb in the FTSE 100 today, building on gains yesterday and a successful fundraise.
Whitbread has raised £550m from two tranches of green bonds. Following a 4.2% hike yesterday, it rose by a further 5.1%, ending the day at 3,280p.
Elsewhere in the FTSE 100, British Land jumped by 3.7% to 458.9p and housebuilder Barratt was up by 3% to 710p.
Further jumps were seen for shopping centre investors Capital & Regional, surging by 7.3% to 62p and Hammerson, up by 4.5% to 907.2p.
Overall, the FTSE 100 was down by 0.2% at 6,489 and the FTSE 250 ended up 1.2% at 21,067.
