Flexible office provider Workspace Group was one of the biggest fallers on the FTSE 250 today, ending the day 3% lower at 872.5p.
BMO Real Estate Investments posted the steepest decline out of all the REITs on the stock exchange, down by just over 5% at 182.5p. This was closely followed by Schroder REIT, which fell by nearly 5% to 47.7p.
Civitas Social Housing performed the best out of the listed real estate cohort, up by 3.4% at 100p.
Leisure and hospitality stocks enjoyed a boost, with Intercontinental Hotels Group among the top performers on the FTSE 100 after rising by nearly 2% to 4,650p.
Elsewhere, Wagamama owner The Restaurant Group jumped by 9.1% to 115p, making it the top riser on the FTSE 250. Index peer Cineworld rose by 5% to 63.5p.
The FTSE 100 shed 0.9% at 6,963 points. The FTSE 250 closed up 0.1% at 23,658.
