One of Knight Frank’s best-known land agents, Ian Marris, is departing the firm after 28 years.
The joint head of residential development is understood to have announced his departure earlier today.
His co-head of the department, Justin Gaze, will continue at the firm, and will continue to be responsible for land, valuations and Knight Frank’s regional development network together with the important responsibility of running key client management.
Knight Frank has appointed James Mannix and Rupert Dawes as the new joint heads of the Residential Development business. Mannix currently head of Residential Capital Markets and Dawes, currently head of New Homes Sales will take on the roles effective as of 1 April 2018.
Marris is an equity partner at Knight Frank and has specialised in land deals across Central London. He is understood not to be moving to another specific role, although he may look to go client-side.
According to the Knight Frank website, Marris “has spent 27 years in development consultancy and land agency advising on central London development and urban renewal projects” and “is an acknowledged expert in large-scale regeneration and mixed-use development”.
