Highcross Leicester has officially opened.
The developers were bullish about the £350m shopping complex’s chances of success in the credit crunch.
The centre has more than 120 shops, restaurants, cafes and a cinema. It is said to be the largest regeneration project the city has seen. John Lewis has opened a four-floor department store there.
