Leicester Regeneration Company (LRC) has commissioned a masterplan for a major office development in the St George’s area of Leicester city centre.
Plans for St George’s to become a prime office district are key to LRC’s vision for the city.
The St George’s scheme is the first element of LRC’s plans to be masterplanned in detail.
LRC also envisages a science & technology park, a waterside development, an extension to the retail centre, a public square and a rail/bus station.
Benoy director Simon Bee said: “This is a long term project which may take 10 years to complete, but the masterplan should be available for publication by the autumn of this year.”
Property consultancy Innes England is advising LRC.
