Matterhorn to spend £250m on data centres

Matterhorn Capital Data Centres today formally announced a £250m investment in two data centres in the South East of England.

Estates Gazette revealed in November that private investors Anthony Lyons and Simon Conway would be creating a data centre division at Matterhorn Capital.

The two data centre sites – in Bury Green, Hertfordshire, and Chesham, Buckinghamshire – both have planning permission and will house more than 180,000 sq ft of net technical space.

The Chesham centre has onsite power, while Bury Green is in negotiations with a power provider which are expected to conclude shortly.

Matterhorn Capital Data Centres’ director, John Lennon, said: “Our investment in premium site locations, with state-of-the-art resources, enables us to offer superior facilities in secure locations to a growing market.”
