Mayfair & City Properties have bought the Cowley Shopping Centre in Oxford from British Land for about £6m. Current rent roll is around £450,000 pa.
The 208,000-sq ft centre, which is close to the Oxford Ring Road, also has 10,000 sq ft of offices and over 1,000 parking spaces. Tenants include J Sainsbury, F W Woolworth, W H Smith and the British Shoe Corporation. Mayfair & City are to upgrade the complex.
Vigers advised the purchasers and have been retained with Healey & Baker as development consultants and letting agents for the centre.
