Mayfair Capital Investment Management has named its first head of ESG for the UK, hiring a former JLL director to take the post.
Christi Vosloo will help the Swiss Life-owned real estate fund manager to implement its ESG strategy across its deals, developments, refurbishments and business operations.
Vosloo said there is “immense momentum and understanding of the importance of ESG within the real estate sector”, adding that the industry has a “pivotal role” in mitigating climate change.
At JLL she was an associate director, advising clients on ESG issues.
Mayfair Capital chief executive Giles King said the new role would prove “crucial” for the business and “will be advantageous for our clients as we confront the increasing reality of climate change and its impact on the built environment”.
