Maypole Group acquires Norfolk hotel

Hotels company Maypole Group has bought the Wayford Bridge Hotel in Norfolk.

The UK countryside hotels with restaurants group paid £1.95m for the hotel, which is in the Norfolk Broads National Park.

The hotel has 15 en-suite rooms, a bistro, a restaurant and a function room.

Maypole has also arranged new bank facilities of £7.87m with Clydesdale Bank.

The new bank facilities will replace those from Maypole’s existing bank and will be used to part finance the acquisition of Wayford.

Maypole chairman Simon Bentley said: “The combination of the acquisition, the refinancing and the allotment of further shares has resulted in Maypole having a stronger group balance sheet going forward.”
