McLaren Group is planning to sell and lease back its landmark headquarters in Surrey for up to £200m.
The Formula 1 team owner has appointed Colliers International on the deal for its McLaren Campus in Woking.
The 84-acre location includes a technology centre, production centre – where the brand’s supercars are hand-built – and thought leadership centres. These were designed by Foster & Partners.
The group comprises British supercar maker McLaren Automotive, Formula 1 and IndyCar team McLaren Racing and technology business McLaren Applied.
Robert Campkin, head of corporate capital solutions at Colliers, said: “This is a rare opportunity to acquire a high-profile asset in a core M25 location with long-term occupancy of 20 years.”
McLaren will use the proceeds to shore up its finances. The group is part way through a wide-ranging refinancing strategy.
