McLaren Property has bought a final plot of land on a Bath development site, allowing it to submit plans for a 378-bed student accommodation scheme.
The developer’s purchase means it now has a 1.1-acre site on Lower Bristol Road. It has submitted plans for a £30m scheme, comprising flats and townhouses.
The Stride Treglowen-designed scheme “refers strongly to the industrial mill heritage on the site”, said McLaren.
Subject to planning consent, work on the scheme will begin next year. It will serve students at Bath Spa and Bath university.
