Fast-food chain McDonald’s has been given the go-ahead to develop its first major mixed-use development in the UK.
Tower Hamlets has approved plans for its MAKE-designed London Helix project at 2 Trafalgar Way in Blackwall, E15.
The scheme will comprise two towers of29 and 35 storeys.
They will include 355 flats, 48 serviced apartments, shops, offices, a gym, a creche and a “flagship” McDonald’s restaurant.
The chainplans to sell the land toa developer. No start date for work on site has yet been set.
