MDPL Group is set to receive planning permission for its proposal to redevelop Riverside House in Woolwich, south-east London.
MDPL plans include a 17-storey building with 332 student rooms, a café and a gym.
The plans include a 265-room hotel in a seven-storey building with a public restaurant, bar, lounge, and ground-floor retail space.
The development will involve refurbishing two existing 1960s office buildings at the corner of Woolwich High Street and Beresford Street. A two-storey structure connecting the buildings will be demolished, making way for a new public space.
The planning documents state: “The new pathway through the site will improve connectivity from Beresford Street to Woolwich town centre. This enhancement will provide a more convenient walking route for the local community, students and hotel guests.”
The Royal Borough of Greenwich will discuss the proposal at a planning meeting tomorrow.
