MediaCityUK appoints new property director

MediaCityUK has appointed Chris Reay as property director to deliver the £1bn second phase of its Salford scheme.

MediaCityUK has a 10-year plan to add 26.9m sq ft of space, doubling its existing footprint.

Ten buildings will be built across eight plots. This will include more than 500,000 sq ft of business accommodation; over 43,000 sq ft of live/work units; 1,871 residential units, including town houses, more than 47,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space; and over 1,800 car parking spaces.

Reay joins MediaCityUK from Allied London, where he held two positions over his four-year tenure – group property director and Spinningfields estate director.

Before this, he spent more than a year at MEPC as a senior leasing manager in commercial asset management.

He also spent more than five years at Canning O’Neill as office lettings and sales associate director from 2008 to 2013 and was Bruntwood’s Manchester city centre commercial asset manager from 2005 to 2008.
