Healthcare provider Mediq has signed for a new UK headquarters at NFU Mutual’s East Midlands Distribution Centre in Castle Donington.
Mediq launched in the UK in September last year through the acquisition of H&R Healthcare, Bunzl Healthcare and 365 Healthcare.
Mediq will use the 280,000 sq ft warehouse for medical distribution operations. The building features 30 loading bays and 44 HGV parking spaces.
The new facility, designed by IMA Architects, was built speculatively at a cost of £30m, which includes a £6m fit-out. It was delivered by Clowes Developments in 2022.
East Midlands Distribution Centre spans 2.5m sq ft and is within easy access of the M1, the A50 and East Midlands airport. Tenants at the centre include Marks & Spencer, Birlea Furniture, Moran Logistics, Klober and Interlevin.
FHP is the retained agent for the centre.
