Dublin-based Benton Property Holding and The Marine Hotel (South West) have bought the four star Marine Hotel, Salcombe, Devon from Menzies Hotels for more than £10m.
Richard Knowles of Benton said the hotel would be kept open while investment was made.
The 53-bedroom hotel overlooks one of the South West’s best known estuaries.
