MEPC has announced it will speculatively develop a 104,000 sq ft office and retail scheme in Leeds, Yorkshire.
The property company said 6 Wellington Place will be Leeds’ first speculative grade-A scheme in six years.
James Dipple, chief executive of MEPC, said: “Bringing forward such a positive opportunity as 6 Wellington Place is being driven by the growth and confidence we are seeing in Leeds and across the entire market as economic conditions continue to improve.”
DTZ and JLL have been appointed to let the development.
Construction is expected to complete by the end of 2015.
