Merrill Lynch buys Lasa from CIR

Merrill Lynch has bought Compagnia Immobiliare Lasa (Lasa) from Italy’s CIR holding company for €40.8m (L79bn).

CIR is controlled by Cofide which, in turn, is controlled by Carlo De Benedetti and his family. Lasa has a property portfolio worth €69.7m (L135bn).
