Meyer Bergman lines up Vinopolis

VinopolisMeyer Bergman is lining up a major South Bank retail scheme with the purchase of a pair of buildings, including the home of wine venue Vinopolis.

The opportunity fund manager is in advanced talks to buy the company which owns Vinopolis and the building it occupies, together with neighbouring Thames House, SE1.

The combined sites have the potential for a 140,000 sq ft retail and leisure scheme, which would back on to Borough Market and capture the heavy footfall on the Thames path along the South Bank.

The complex deal is not expected to complete until the end of the year.
