Mileway has bought a 138,000 sq ft logistics facility in Purfleet, to the east of London, as part of a sale-and-leaseback from transportation provider DSV Road.
It is understood that Mileway acquired the property, which serves as DSV’s UK headquarters, for around £35m.
As part of the deal, Mileway will lease the property back to DSV for an initial term of 10 years.
DSV Road has a fleet of more than 20,000 trucks and is part of Danish-listed DSV, which is the fifth largest transport and logistics supplier globally.
Mileway has bought 300 assets totalling 18.5m sq ft in the UK so far this year. It owns more than 600 logistics properties across the country, with a presence in all major cities including London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and Newcastle.
Philip Cridge, UK country director at Mileway, said: “The property has recently undergone a major refurbishment programme to bring it up to the very highest standards and it occupies a prime location in London, with direct access to major roads and in close proximity to some of the UK’s leading freight terminals.”
