Accountant Baker Tilley is poised to equal the headline rent for offices in Leeds at Miller Gregory’s Whitehall II scheme.
Baker Tilley is lining up 11,000 sq ft (1,022 sq m) at £23 per sq ft (247 per sq m).
The £23 per sq ft level has only been achieved once before in the city, on a small suite let in 2000, and the deal is expected to provide a major boost in a market where office rents have remained stuck at around £20 per sq ft for the past two years.
The Whitehall II scheme beside the River Aire is one of the few speculative office schemes in central Leeds.
It was developed by a joint venture between Miller Gregory and Gregory Properties.
