A Wiltshire cottage currently set in the middle of fields could be surrounded by a mini town after an application for outline planning permission was put forward last month.
The owners of the cottage were unaware of the proposals, consultations about which started in December 2014. The 125-acre development will include 700 homes, a retirement home and a school. The access route to the cottage would have to be changed as a result.
A spokesman for Wiltshire council said the developers had carried out public consultations on the proposals and should have advised all concerned.
