Minor is expanding its empire in a major way

Minor International was little-known in Britain until its purchase 18 months ago of a majority stake in Corbin & King, the restaurant operator behind The Wolseley, in a £58 million deal. Since then, the Bangkok-listed hospitality group has not sat on its hands. It has backed the launch by Corbin & King of two more restaurants — Soutine, in St John’s Wood, and Café Wolseley, at Bicester Village in its first opening outside London — with more in the pipeline in Notting Hill, Soho and the City.

Dillip Rajakarier, Minor’s chief operating officer, is also plotting the development of Wolseley restaurants in Hong Kong, Bangkok, Dubai and New York “within the next five years”.
